Jennifer Lopez, or JLo, is one of the women who I grew up idolizing. She is a strong, confident woman with insane talent and fame. On and off the stage she is a bold figure and quite a force to be reckoned with. In addition to being a famous singer and actress JLo is also an author and fashion designer, and after this post I’m sure you’ll see why!

Memorable Monday: Karlie Kloss / Miss Vogue

This week we are featuring one of today’s household top model names, Karlie Kloss. Kloss was scouted early and has risen to the top alongside supermodels. Today’s feature deemed ‘Miss Vogue’ captured exactly why Kloss has become such a hit. Her dynamic energy, sharp piercing eyes, and captivating stature is evident.

A supermodel and rightfully so. She was also a part of our International Women’s Day post earlier in March and here Kloss is again marching all over our pages. Because that’s what supermodels do! You just can’t get enough of them.

Famous Friday: Taylor Swift

woo woo wee! we made it to the end of the week!

today we are posting about all the cool, calm, and collected all black outfits Taylor Swift effortlessly pulls of from the sidewalks to the stage to the red carpet.

Swift does an amazing job of not making all black outfits too serious or jarring. Don’t believe a word when people say all black is depressing!

But it doesn’t mean Swift doesn’t know how to make herself look like the real deal

Or a decades inspired cutie

but she can also definitely pull off sexy, strong, and stunning

even with a dress down past her toes

but no matter what Swift knows how to pull off any all black outfit both on and off the stage

Memorable Monday: Rebel Waltz – Agyness Deyn / Hedi Slimane

Hello Monday!

Today we’re starting off the week with none other than Agyness Deyn – model, actress, and singer- shot by Hedi Slimane (yes we’re featuring her again! check out our first post on her here). In March 2011 for Vogue China, Deyn showed punky angst and mystery wearing Burberry, Balmain, and Alexander Wang.

I think what Slimane does best is capturing the essence of her model and letting their personalities shine through the clothes and photographs. I mean, what better model is there than Deyn to show off black and white punk magic?

Famous Friday: Jessie J

Thank God it’s Friday!

but also, Happy First Day of Spring! (it’s snowing in New York though which is a little ironic…)

Anywho, today we are showing off Jessie J in all her glory. Born Jessica Ellen Cornish, better known as Jessie J, has already accomplished so much at the young age of 26. Initially signed as a songwriter, she wrote for Chris Brown and Miley Cyrus before landing a record deal herself with Universal. After releasing song after song that reached top charts in the UK and in the US, Jessie J, as of 2012, has sold over 11 million singles and 2.5 million albums worldwide.

Jessie J is always just beaming with confidence and passion both on and off stage

and I mean, this outfit couldn’t get any simpler – an all black number with no accessories, frills, or texture. But she’s got such an undeniable presence!

we also love how her personality comes through in everything. a wardrobe that is truly in sync with her aesthetic.

also, she pulls off both the girly and the tomboy look so well, we’re envious!

Happy Friday!

so earlier this week was International Women’s Day, and in its honor we featured decades of supermodels who have helped shaped this industry. Then for Memorable Monday, we re-featured Linda Evangelista because she’s still a force to be reckoned with. So! To finish up a week full of supermodels, today we are celebrating Karlie Kloss, a supermodel scouted early and will even make her acting debut on the upcoming Zoolander 2!
