sADurday series: Marc Jacobs / Protect the Skin You’re In Campaign

This week’s sADurday series is far from kid-appropriate but I think it’s an interesting campaign that Marc Jacob’s launched. The “protect the skin you’re in” campaign began in 2006 by Jacobs and his was intended to raise awareness about skin cancer. Jacob’s creates tees with nude celebrities covered by slogans “protect the skin you’re in” “protect your largest organ” and “cover your ass.” Celebrities who have been a part of the campaign include: Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Winona Ryder, Miley Cyrus, Cara Delevingne, Victoria Beckham, Dita von Teese, Eva Mendes, Robert Duffy, and more.

The proceeds of the tees go to the Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University.

Today’s quote is by Alexander Wang, the acclaimed owner of his own line, Alexander Wang in addition to being the creative director of Balenciaga. This is what he has to say about everyday fashion:
